Fresh 2015 Chrysler 300 Sedan Redesign Shown Off In L.A.

As people in ancient days waited for the end of famine, so have Chrysler enthusiasts waited for an update to the 300 sedan. Today at the Los Angeles Auto Show, that wait ended with a redesign unveiled by designer Ralph Gilles.

Design is a subjective art, though one thing that can be agreed on is that the differences in the new generation of 300 are striking. A 30 percent larger front grille is the most obvious, and the body as a whole is peppered with minor adjustments.

The internals of the 300 are largely undisturbed with the same V6 and V8 engines. A new 8-speed transmission, however, will improve fuel efficiency, as will the new aluminum axles and electric steering unit.

Best of all, Chrysler is introducing all of these improvements at no additional cost to the consumer. The MSRP of the new 300 sedan will be the same as the outgoing, which is one change we’re sure many people are glad to see left undone.
