It’s the Friday before the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and what do you know? Some very official looking photographs of the 2015 Chrysler 200 are floating around the internet. Can you really even call it a leak at this point?
We suppose that isn’t important. What matters is that the car looks gorgeous. Due for its first update since it first hit the streets in 2010, the new 200 is all curves and elegance. The front end of Chrysler’s midsize sedan shines with a liberal installment of LED headlights, and the roofline swoops back in a slender contour sure to cut through the slipstream.
One of the few specifications confirmed at this point, the 2015 200 will feature a new nine-speed automatic transmission, which is projected to earn the sedan an improved 35 mpg highway rating. The 200 also loses a lever shift in favor of a rotary knob shifter. All-wheel-drive will be available as well.
